It was during his five years of study at the Institut d’Arts Visuels in Orléans that he discovered pastel, and in 1984 earned the Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression Plastique.
His favorite subjects are urban landscapes, the Loire River, skies, and coastal scenes, though the variety of photographs taken during his travels also serve as sources of inspiration.
The sensual touch of the finger on paper, the surface that transforms from palette into painting, offers him intense emotions, where a constantly renewed magic allows forms and colors to reveal anew the visions and sensations once experienced.
