Puifferrat
Aurore Puifferrat paints with pastel landscapes from her native Creuse countryside and the mountains of Ariège, where she has lived for 15 years.
Nature, in general, invites us to breathe, observe, and marvel.
She discovered in 2008 and immediately adopted the technique of dry and soft pastel sticks. She is now passionate:
“I appreciate pastel for its almost pure pigments, its more or less powdery texture, and its immediacy, which makes it ideal for outdoor work. With pastel, you can vary the strokes, layering, and play with the texture and tone of abrasive papers.”
Two hours on-site, she then refines the piece in the studio until it becomes a finished painting, striving, like the Impressionists of their time, to express her own feelings.
