Véronique Theunissen

From a very young age, drawing and painting have always been my passion.
After several years of working with watercolours, I discovered soft pastels as a self-taught artist in 2000. Since then, they have become my preferred medium.
A photography enthusiast, I often draw inspiration for my paintings from my own shots.
My aim is to interpret the image by playing with light and colour, removing or altering elements to focus on the essence of the subject.
Each of my journeys is a true quest for light.
My favourite themes include seascapes and forest scenes, as well as portraits and animals.
