Become a
Art of Pastel in France awards the honorary title of Master Pastelist.
All professional pastel artists (French and foreign) are eligible for this title.
Creation of the file.
1 – A cover letter in PDF format, which should include the following points:
• Experience as a pastel painter
• Ability to teach this technique
• Personal commitment to promoting the art of pastel
2 – A presentation of 10 recent works in digital format, with dimensions greater than 1500 pixels on the longest side.
Rules
The works must have been created exclusively in dry pastel and be the artist’s original and exclusive creation.
Any application presenting works inspired by existing works, regardless of the original technique (photography, sculpture, or any other pictorial work), will be rejected.
Any application containing a work resulting from an approach assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) will also be rejected.
The awarding of the title is made jointly by APF and judges external to the association, appointed by APF.
APF will initially review the application. If deemed sufficient, it will be forwarded to the external judges.
A non-refundable application fee of €50 will then be requested.
The final decision of the external judges is final. APF will process the application expeditiously; the final deadline will depend on the jury external to the association, some of which is located abroad, which may result in a longer processing time.
