Dominique Houard

Her first trompe l'oeil work dates back to 1993, and since then, Dominique Houard has exhibited numerous times: at the Salon International de Feytiat, where she has been hanging her pastels since 2002, as well as in Spain, Canada, London, and China, where she was awarded the title of Master Pastelist by the Société des Pastellistes de France in 2015.
Her oil paintings have taken her to Cannes, Germany, the United States, Slovakia, England, and various major exhibitions.
Her compositions, imbued with a love of detail, mischief, and mystery, bring together improbable objects, taken from everyday life as well as those from the past, organized around an enigma, a puzzle, or a play on words.
Surprisingly precise, she creates a strange atmosphere without seeming to touch it. Her signature, itself, reveals itself in unexpected ways.
