Drawn to the softness and depth unique to pastel, I chose from the very beginning to explore this medium exclusively. Long influenced by my father’s Caribbean heritage, my early works were vibrant, light filled landscapes. Gradually, my practice shifted toward portraits, flowers, and still lifes, guided by the desire to reveal the beauty I find in the world.

For twenty five years now, I have refined my palette, using color sparingly. This artistic choice has become my signature: allowing light, contrast, and depth to emerge through a restrained use of tones that heightens the viewer’s emotional experience.
