Patrick Bechtold is a French pastel artist renowned for his work in dry pastel. He began his artistic career after an introduction to watercolor, then in 2004 met the master pastelist Alain Victor, marking the beginning of his journey with pastels. He furthered his training by participating in several workshops with masters such as Claude Texier, Gwenneth Barth, Thierry Citron, and Pierre Caro. Art du Pastel en France is honoring him this year for the 4th edition of the International Pastel Exhibition in Berric. He is also a member of the Société des Pastellistes de France, where his works are regularly exhibited. His artistic approach is often described as colorful and expressive. Patrick has a deep need to move towards something that more closely reflects his own personality, drawing inspiration from the present moment, striving for a free and sincere expression imbued with emotion and movement through the vibrations of texture and color. He sought to purify his vision, from which flowed the magic and wonder of a beauty that propelled him toward creativity and abstraction.
