I turned to abstraction after a trip to China, feeling that figurative art was too restrictive to convey my impressions.
To express what cannot be said with words;
Not to reveal everything at first glance;
Each exploration is an adventure, with an uncertain outcome.
My pleasure lies in the freedom of gesture, in the search for the unexpected, in the beauty of the material.
My sources of inspiration: the sea, and especially texts by Arthur Rimbaud, Giono, Dante,
Victor Segalen, Japanese haikus, Zen Tales of Wisdom… and more.
