was created for anyone who wishes to discover or share their passion for pastel.

Our association was founded by Sylvie and José Cabal in 2001.
Bernard Texier served as president from 2009 until 2017, when Sylvie Poirson took over this role.

Goals of Art du Pastel en France

– Restoring pastel to its rightful place so that it is recognized on an equal footing with other painting techniques.
– Inspire vocations, discover new talents, encourage them, help them train, guide them, and monitor their development.
– Award the title of Master Pastelist.

– Organize meetings and develop exchanges between different pastel Societies, both in France and abroad.
– Stimulate the teaching of pastel through training courses adapted to all levels.
– Organize and participate in quality exhibitions in France and abroad.
